Information regarding coronavirus COVID-19

Coronavirus COVID-19 has hit society hard with personal tragedies, changing conditions and difficult challenges for many businesses. In some sectors, the effects of the corona crisis are extremely dramatic. For Sweden’s and the world’s tourism industry, it is the biggest crisis ever. Swedish campsites that are members of SCR Svensk Camping are working according to examined guidelines to ensure a safe holiday for all guests.

SCR’s members work according to examined guidelines

Here you can read the guidelines that are intended to advice Swedish campsites on how to avoid spreading the coronavirus covid-19.

All the campsites that are members of SCR Svensk Camping can be found at Camping.se. They have all been provided with guidelines and guides produced by SCR Svensk Camping for a safe holiday. The documents have been reviewed by the Public Health Agency of Sweden and are now used by the Swedish tourist industry’s trade association Visita, as part of the campaign Safe to Visit.

The campsites are open

The vast majority of campsites that are members of the trade association SCR Svensk Camping are open. Factors such as guests having control over their own accommodation and facilities and the fact that the stay is largely outdoors are a crucial advantage for the camping industry. Swedish campsites are working continuously to improve their cleaning routines, train their staff and inform their guests to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.

SCR is of course monitoring the development of the situation around Covid-19 and following the instructions and recommendations it receives from the authorities responsible. The industry’s top priority is a safe holiday for guests and a safe environment for staff.

Due to the coronavirus, some facilities have made certain changes to what they offer when it comes to activities and in some cases also opening times. There may also be some restrictions on the services offered at facilities. Contact the campsite directly for more information on how its activities have been affected. All the contact information can be found at Camping.se.

Follow the general advice of the Public Health Agency of Sweden

It is important that guests and staff follow the Public Health Agency of Sweden’s general advice to avoid infection. Being careful to keep your distance from other persons in public settings, washing your hands often with soap and warm water, coughing and sneezing into the crock of your arm, avoiding touching your face (eyes, nose, mouth), and staying at home when you are ill can all help to reduce the risk of spreading infection.
